Kids Creative Cuisine
A cooking club for children ages 9 through 14. 6 week sessions held in the Fall, Winter and Spring during the evenings. Children learn to safely prepare healthy meals, create their own cookbook and taste new and interesting foods!
$27 per child. Programs are offered in West Lorne, St. Thomas and Aylmer
GirlSPACE
A program for girls ages 9 to 13. Each week the girls will participate in a different activity with a focus on healthy lifestyles, positive body image, building leadership skills and dealing with difficult situations.

Home Alone Safely
A safety program for children ages 9 to 12. Teaching the basic skills required to be safe and secure while alone in the home. Fall, Winter and Spring sessions.
Drop in Recreation Programs
After school & evening Recreation programs for school age children to participate in games, recreation, sports & enjoy a healthy snack. Programs offered in St. Thomas, Rodney & Dutton.
Excite
An after school recreation program for school age children held in the YWCA 16 Mary Street gym. Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30pm until 5 pm. This recreation program combines traditional games and sports with games on the Nintendo Wii.
Family Open Gym Night
Each Tuesday evening families are welcome to get active in our gym. No membership required. Play hockey, soccer, gymnastics, badminton, basketball, dodge ball….
Family Fun Events
Seasonal family recreation events such as lego building contests, speed stacking, roller blade madness, holiday parties…call for date and time!
PA Day Camps
PA Day camps are offered at the YWCA, 16 Mary Street West. The program runs from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm PA days set out by the Thames Valley District School Board. Children participate in games, recreation, crafts, dramatic arts, field trips and self directed play.
S.T.E.P.S (Sisters in Truth, Equality, Power and Strength)
A 12 week interactive program for girls ages 11-14. The program has 10 different workshops that are presented in fun, unique ways that focus on team building, assertive behaviour, leadership and building self esteem. Each week the girls share a meal together as part of the program. There is no cost to attend
Summer Day Camp
The YWCA St. Thomas – Elgin offers fun, recreational day camps during the summer months for school aged children. Our day camps offer many exciting activities with plenty of choices each day. Camp sessions include arts and crafts, games, sports, drama, singing, swimming, storytelling and outdoor activities. Field trips, special guests, and special theme days may also be part of the camp experience. Day camps are offered across Elgin County.
Counsellor in Training Program (CIT)
A leadership training program for youth ages 13 to 16 who are interested in recreation, childcare services and being active.
